Smart City Garbage Piles

Garbage disposal is a serious concern that all people in Kochi has to face daily. With the corporation authorities imposing fine and legal actions against people who are found guilty of taking wrong measures in disposing them. As a result of the new plans for a so called better change in Kochi city all the Trash Bins have been removed from their places. The explanation for which was, ' waste should be thrown inside the bin and not around it'. Maybe they didn't
notice that those trash bins where never cleared on time, an overflowing garbage bin and stinking smell of kochi has caught its attention even in movies.

The new rules and regulations have paved way for another mismanagement, collectiong waste door-to-door. This was supposed to happen on a daily basis and now which happens just once in a while in most places as these people fail to turn up for even weeks. A thought about moving out in search of Garbage bins are just in vain it is hard to find even a single one. So whats an alternative for this problem.

The hardest part of all comes when there is garbage piling up at road sides, mostly pedestrian walkways. With our almost bottle necked and badly maintained roads, these garbage piles that remain unattended for days and even weeks before being finally removed is an absolute nuisance.

So isn't there a better way? What should be done to have our city as they say - Cochin City, Clean City, Green City.
