kochi2day : Hartal Syndrome

Hartals have made life in Kochi under serious troubles. Kochi has been know for the peace that we have been maintaining till long which was credited to the higher literacy rate and positive attitude of Keralites. But the recent hartals and strikes show that we no longer belong to that mighty group of people. These strikes have not only left the working lot to a standstill but these recent strikes have got even worse with people even hindering with the functioning of emergency services like ambulance and medical care.

Kochi which is now emerging as the new IT hub of south India, is loosing its fame and is getting into news for all those wrong reasons pulling down the stats of the state. After the fights for 'smart city label' and 'sez' sparely do our manpower get a chance to prove their potential, this time the 'Hartal Syndrome' has been worst ever to hit the city and even our state. The political authorities who have always been giving fake promises of economic growth of the state are not ready to leave even a single reason to call in for a 'total shutdown'. Rather than moulding the state for the better they are all behind retarding the state and making it impossible for the people who struggle to make a living.

The constitution of India provides Right to Freedom, so let the population enjoy it and let no one take away our birth rights even that be our political powers.Political parties are for the betterment of people, our candidates have always promised us a better standard of living and not a time for uninvited stress, panic and economical disintegration for the state as a whole. If they need to protest they very well do that without hindering our lives and allow us to lead a peaceful life, we have had enough of forceful closures and stone peltings for this year.

With all these uninvited holidays and even the allegations by political leaders that they are a result of US masterbrains. There is still one and maybe the only department that works all through this highs and downs, its none other than the KSEB that never forgets to put us through 'half an hour darkness' for the day, well Hartals never touch these 'High Tension' departments even if they block ambulance or they continue attacking media persons or go wild over closing down offices.

This is high time we all need to protest , 82 strikes and still counting, here is where we stand at this 8th month of the year. Can anything go worse than this. To collectively raise the voice of people in Kochi, we are bringing up a Blogger Site www.kochi2day.com, which would give all a chance to protest against whats wrong and still happening under broad daylight in the city. A better standard of life, unhindered by hartals is our demand.
